Altcar Road to close from 10th August onwards.
A key access road in to Formby is set to close for up to 11 days, according to Sefton Council.
In order to carry out works on behalf of United Utilities, Altcar Road will close from 10th August 2026, with the closure going on as far as 21 August 2026, although this may reduce if the works complete ahead of schedule.
Diversion routes are via Ryeground Lane past The Grapes pub, or via Liverpool Road.
Two other road jobs have been reported around Formby: the three-day Brooms Cross Road closure and the Moss Lane bridge rebuild.
