A new sports bar could be coming to Formby Village after an application for an alcohol and premises licence was submitted to Sefton Council.
The application follows the recent approval of plans to change the use of the first floor of Troutbeck House, 27 Brows Lane, from office space into a sports bar, subject to planning conditions.
Potters Sports Bar Limited is now seeking permission from Sefton licencing for permission to operate a sports bar from the premises above Age UK and Formby Grill House.

The first-floor accommodation was previously marketed as modern office space extending to around 2,567 sq ft.
Residents and responsible authorities have until 16 August 2026 to submit representations to Sefton Council before a decision is made on the licence application.
The premises licence has not yet been granted, and the application remains subject to the council's licensing process.
Planning permission for the change of use was approved on 27 July 2026. One of the conditions requires the applicant to install appropriate sound insulation before the venue can open, helping to minimise noise for neighbouring properties.
