Trueplate to open in place of another much loved food retailer
A bittersweet mix of joy and sadness today as Jake from True Plate Meals announces the location of his long awaited meal prep retail location in Formby, replacing former much-loved establishment, Vive (formerly "Poke").
HelloFormby exclusively broke the story first nearly a month ago, with other local news platforms following suit.
Demi Whittle from Vive had previously written on the challenges facing retail establishments under the new tax regime, having closed her Baltic Triangle location only months before announcing this latest closure.
Locals will miss the delicious fresh breakfasts, fruity acai bowls and nourishing protein balls.
Jake, having trained at "8 by Andrew Sheridan" is bringing gourmet and tasty meals to the healthy meal prep arena, having repeatedly sold out his offerings over previous weeks.
We look forward to sampling his creations and wish both founders well in their new ventures.
